Barron County Home Sales Hold Steady

Northwestern WI home sales
Lakeside living can be yours in Barron County!

After a strong start during the first half of 2019, Barron County home sales began to level off in July. This isn’t unusual for our market this time of year, but it’s something that Northwest Wisconsin home buyers and home sellers should be aware of. Here’s a look at the numbers!

The volume of home sales has been steady on a year-over-year basis. July 2019 saw 93 homes sold in Barron County. A year ago, there were 96 homes sold during July.

During July 2019, the median Barron County home price was $145,000. This is a slight dip from July 2018, which posted a median home price of $146,250. “Median” means half of the homes sold for more than this amount, and half of them sold for less.

Buyers shouldn’t bank on July’s sales figures sticking around. Last year, home prices began to rise again in August, and averaged higher each month for the balance of the year. And during the first half of 2019, we’ve already seen overall home prices trend higher on a year-to-date basis. Affordable homes in good condition remain in demand.
