The Village of Cameron is located in Barron County, and is home to about 1,700 residents. The Barron County Historical Society Pioneer Village Museum is located in Cameron.
The museum has 37 buildings and several original log cabins, all built and furnished in the 1800’s. The museum grounds host special events during summer weekends, making it a popular destination for visitors and local residents alike. The Classic Car Show in August is one of the largest in the northwest region. The Bluegrass Festival in September is a 3-day event that draws talent from around the country.
Other community events in Cameron include Camerama Days and the Fall Festival. Residents also enjoy activities at the Barron Area Community Center.
The Cameron School District is well-respected and enjoys a strong level of community support. New athletic fields were recently added, and the construction of a new elementary school started in 2014.
