The Blue Diamond Vacation Area refers to a section of Northwestern Wisconsin with an abundance of pristine lakes and scenic rivers. Some of the lakes in the area include Potato, Island, Chain, McCann, Clear, Amacoy, Round, Long, Holcombe, Pine, Sand and Axhandle, as well as many others. The lakes are teaming with many different types of fish including, muskies, walleye, northern, bass and pan fish.

There are thousands of acres of public forests, hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails, cross country trails, snow shoe trails and hiking trails. The Chippewa Moraine Ice Age State Recreation Area in New Auburn contains sections of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. The David R. Obey Ice Age Interpretive Center is the gateway to local hiking trails with stunning views. The glacially-formed hills, lakes and plains revealed by these trails immerse visitors in natural splendor.
