Barron County Home Prices Surge During Spring

It’s going to be a hot summer for Barron County real estate, based on the home sales we’re seeing this spring! Data from the Wisconsin Realtors Association shows 2021 home prices up by nearly 13% for Northern Wisconsin, compared to the spring of 2020.

It should be noted that Barron County home prices set a new median high of $182,000 during 2020 for the year as a whole. As of April 2021, the median selling price of a Barron County home was already $195,500. Northwestern Wisconsin sellers are getting 100% of their asking price on average, and a number of properties have sold for more than the list price.

We have seen more sellers put property on the market in the past few months, which has helped transaction volume get a roaring start. The volume of 2021 home sales is 24% ahead of where it was a year ago.

Despite a gradual uptick in the number of available listings, demand is still outpacing supply. Home buyers are empowered by super-cheap mortgage interest rates, and in some cases, piles of cash. Move-in ready homes are hot in just about every price range.

Sellers, you may never see a better market than this! Your property could be worth much more than you realize. Request your free home valuation report today and learn what your property could fetch on the market. There is no obligation.
