It’s that time of year again! We’re already through the month of June and soon we’ll be celebrating Independence Day in the City of Lakes with our very own festival! Chetek‘s Liberty Fest will return July 1st through 4th and include all of your favorites from Hydroflites waterski shows to ball tournaments to live music, a parade and even a beach party!
As you may know, Liberty Fest has been a Chetek tradition for over 40 years and has easily become one of the best small town 4th of July celebrations you can find. Below you can find this year’s Liberty Fest lineup with four filled days of fun:
Friday, July 1
Golf Tourney: Held at Sunset View at 1 PM.
Gary Haugen Softball Tournament: 5 PM to 11 PM.
Dallas Farmers and Flea Market: Held on Main Street in Dallas, WI from 4 PM to 8 PM.
Chetek Fire Department Block Party: Featuring music by Big Back Yard on Knapp Street from 8 PM to Midnight.
Saturday, July 2
Fishy Four Run/Walk: Begins at 8:15 AM and cost is $15 in advance, $25 at event. The Kids 1/2 Mile will begin at 8 AM.
Gary Haugen Softball Tournament: Continues from 9 AM to 11 PM.
Kids Activities at the Beach: From 11 AM to 3 PM, kids can enjoy a DJ, pedal pull, and sawdust money hunt, to name a few.
Wisconsin Indianhead Country Art and Craft Show: Held at Airport Park from 9 AM to 3 PM. Concessions will be available by the Chetek Lions Club.
Blast from the Past Car Show: Held at the north end of the airport runway at 10 AM. Admission is $2, car entry is $5.
Chetek Stitching Sisters Quilt Show: Held at the Chetek Community Center from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Helicopter Rides: Held south of the Hydroflites ski site from 11 AM to 6 PM.
Hydroflites Ski Show: Arrive at 5 PM for the pre-show, with the themed show beginning at 6 PM.
Block Party: Includes bounce house, bungee run, slide, and other activities from 6 PM to 10 PM, as well as music by Mark Thompson from 6 PM to 8:30 PM and the Commotion from 8:30 to Midnight. Admission is $5.
*Shuttle is available Saturday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Safe Ride will also be available.
Sunday, July 3
Gary Haugen Softball Tournament: 9 AM to 7 PM.
Wisconsin Indianhead Country Art and Craft Show: Held at Airport Park from 9 AM to 3 PM.
Chuck Schaff Memorial Horsepull: Held at R Bar at 12 PM Noon. Concessions will be available at 11 AM. Admission is $5.
Let’s Do Church: Non-denomoniational service held at the beach at 10 AM. Chairs are suggested.
Chetek Stitching Sisters Quilt Show: Held at the Chetek Community Center from 10 AM to 4 PM. Admission is $2.
Helicopter Rides: 11 AM to 6 PM.
Hydroflites Ski Show: 5 PM pre-show, 6 PM themed show.
Family Night and Movie: New this year! Held at Chetek Beach at Dusk. Chairs and blankets suggested.
Monday, July 4
Independence Day Breakfast: Held at the Chetek Masonic Lodge from 7 AM to 11 AM. Includes pancakes, french toast, sausage and a beverage. Admission is $7 for 12 and over, $4 under 12. Pre-schoolers are free.
Chetek Stitching Sisters Quilt Show: Held at the Chetek Community Center from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Liberty Fest Parade: Begins at 12 Noon.
Beach Party: Featuring music by the Dweebs from 2 PM to 6 PM. Admission is $5.
Cardboard Regatta: Held during the beach party from 2 PM to 4 PM.
Hydroflites Ski Show: 5 PM pre-show, 6 PM themed show.
Fireworks Display: Begins at Dusk.
