Barron County Home Prices Reach New High

Barron County home prices

The Barron County real estate market started off hot this year, and it isn’t cooling down yet. According to the Wisconsin Realtors Association, the median sales price of a Barron County home reached $240,000 during June 2021. This is the highest median price on record for Barron County.

So far in 2021, every month except January saw a higher median sales price than 2020. Home prices have room to run in the months ahead.

Barron County home sellers have been enjoying the driver’s seat, with most getting their full asking price, and some receiving offers above it. Meanwhile, the number of listings available are well below the norm. Until we see more homes for sale, prices will continue to test new highs.

The good news for buyers is that mortgage interest rates are still around 3%, for those with excellent credit. The challenge is finding a home in the right price range!
