Indoor:
- Change batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. Replace detectors that are 10 years old, because the sensors degrade over time.
- Have your furnace inspected for safe and efficient operation. Stock up on filters. Thin filters (1 to 2 inches) will need replacement more often than thicker filters. Pet owners may need to change filters more often.
