Northwestern Wisconsin home sales

Northwestern Wisconsin home prices dipped lower during November 2025, according to the latest market data from Wisconsin REALTORS©. Here’s a look at the trends, along with our own insights!

Statewide, home sales activity fell about 9% in November compared to the prior year. Over the past 12 months, sales activity declined in nearly every Wisconsin statistical region. The exception was our North region, which saw a year-to-date transaction gain of 1.4%. Despite fewer sales taking place in most areas of the state, the Wisconsin median home price increased 4.8%, reaching $325,000.

In Barron County, November home sale activity declined a bit compared to a year ago. Barron County’s median home sale price in November was $278,100, a drop of about 5.5% compared to November 2024.

Overall, Barron County home prices have been trending higher on a year-to-date basis, but the momentum has varied. On average, Barron County homes are spending about 74 days on the market before going under contract.

Rusk County home sale transactions are on pace with last November, but home prices are trending lower. The median sales price for a Rusk County home was $162,000 during November 2025. Homes are spending about 80 days on the market before going under contract.

Statistics do not tell the whole story for the Northwestern Wisconsin real estate market, because of the variety of homes and price ranges in our area.
