Feb. 4: Hydroflites Ice Fishing Contest. 8am–2pm, Chetek Chain of Lakes. Top prizes (and lifetime bragging rights!) for each category! Try for northern pike, bass, panfish and walleye. Participants aged 14 years or younger can enter the kid’s contest. Don’t fish? Buy a raffle ticket for a chance at over $15,000 in prizes, plus door prizes! Registration, raffle ticket purchases and fish weigh-in take place at Pokegema Lakeside Cantina, located at840 Banks Lane, Chetek. Food and refreshments available at the Cantina throughout the day.
Feb 11: Valentine Dinner & Dance. 5pm–9pm at the Turtle Lake American Legion Hall, located at 320 Maple Street South, Turtle Lake. Your ticket includes a delicious dinner, beverage and live music to dance the night away! Tickets for couples are $50, tickets for singles are $30 each. Feb 17 – Feb 19: Home & Garden Show, Chippewa Valley Expo Center, 5150 Old Mill Plaza, Eau Claire. Get ideas for home improvement, landscaping and more from local building pros. Food and beverages available. Hours vary by day, see website for details!
Feb. 24 – Feb 25: Chetek Winter Fest. Frozen fun at its finest! Feb. 24, from 6pm – 9pm, enjoy the” Fire Up” party at Red’s with music, raffles and door prices. Saturday Feb 25 is an action-packed day with gates opening at 8am, snowmobile races starting at 9:30am. Enjoy the pro ice racing or bring your own snowmobile to enter the “Fun-Run” challenge. The famous bikini run is at 1pm! Plus, there’s games for the kids, kids pro ice racing and kart races. Warm up in the heated entertainment tent with food, music, beer and fun.
