The Northwestern Wisconsin real estate market shows home price gains as well as inventory growth, according to recent data from the Wisconsin REALTORS© Association. Here’s the latest real estate news, along with our insights!
Home demand remains healthy throughout Wisconsin. During June 2026, statewide home sales activity increased 5.9% compared to a year ago. The median price of a Wisconsin home increased nearly 6% on a year-over-year basis, reaching $360,000.
In the 18-county North region, home sales were up 5.6% as of June 2026. The median home sale price reached $327,450 during June, reflecting a 9.2% rise in home prices compared to a year ago.
The market conditions in Barron County are similar. About 86 homes were sold during June 2026, which is the best June sales volume since 2023. Barron County’s median home price was $335,000, the highest of any June on record. On average, homes spent about 5 weeks on the market before going under contract.
The rural Rusk County real estate market is best compared to its own historic norms. There were 14 home sales during June 2026, which is a lower sales volume than what we’ve seen in recent years. The median price of a Rusk County home was $187,000 during June. This is a slight decrease from June 2025, but still in line with June price trends for the past 5 years. Rusk County homes averaged about 7 weeks on the market before going under contract.
