This spring will offer one of the best Chetek real estate markets we’ve seen in some time. If you’ve thought about buying a vacation home or year-around residence in beautiful northwestern Wisconsin, here are three reasons to do it soon!
1. 2019 Barron County real estate is off to a strong start. January home sales in Barron County are up by 40% compared to January 2018. Median home prices in Barron County are up by about 5.4% compared to January 2018.
Since home prices typically rise higher as we get closer to summer, the early birds in our spring market will enjoy an advantage!
2. Mortgage interest rates are still pretty darn good. As of February 21, 2019, new 30-year fixed-rate mortgages were averaging about 4.35%, close to what they were in February 2018. (The rates you are offered depend on your overall credit quality, mortgage type and so on.)
Don’t have your mortgage pre-approval yet? We’ll be happy to refer you to Barron County mortgage lenders who will discuss your options. Just ask!
3. There are more Chetek area homes coming to the market. We already have some new construction on the market, as well as affordable starter homes, waterfront properties and more! New listings pick up steam as we head towards spring. Early-bird home buyers will be first in line to see them – and make offers!
If you want to know about new listings coming to market, contact us and tell us what you’re looking for! Whether you’re searching for a year-around residence, vacation getaway, or a building site for your dream home, we’ll help you find it.
